Dog Card= Humility, Bow Down
Last month we spoke about Conscious Communication and your intention to use the power of words to create positive relationships with self and others. We offered that words are seeds we plant in our conscious and unconscious minds, some of which sprout into deeds that can determine the course and quality of our lives. And now, we look to the ground where these seeds sprouted, and see that what we tend to grows stronger in our lives.
When the actions we take are grounded in the truth of our core values, we can look toward a bountiful harvest, even if that can only be seen dimly on a far horizon. The important thing now, with the external world we know beginning to move and in a seeming swirl, is to claim your spiritual home ground, the values that make you strong whatever winds blow, whatever comes your way.
The Divine Dog card theme of Humility informs us where to begin with that reclamation as humility is not about pulling back or withdrawing from the world, it is recognizing our rightful place in the larger order. We, as only one species, has now shaped our fortune and the fortune of so many others. It is time to honor and give voice to those who’ve had no voice in the onrush of our busy and industrious world. Let the sky clear, let clean rivers flow, let animals move into and through our world more freely, let all of us breathe. May our humility, our bowing, be the way we choose to live in greater harmony with everyone and everything in our everyday lives. And as the Cats say to us now, Embrace the Unknown, with the humble knowledge that we are not fully in control and Masters of the Universe.
For in humility is a new freedom, a freedom to join and connect and love like we’ve never done before, knowing that ever present and unfailing love is what links us all in the Great Mystery.
